Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of webjunkyard.com (the "Service"), operated by WebJunkyard. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business.

2. What WebJunkyard is (and is not)

WebJunkyard is a marketplace venue: recyclers ("yards") list used auto parts, and buyers contact yards directly. We are not a party to any transaction. We do not own, inspect, warrant, price, sell, or ship any part. Payment, pickup, shipping, returns, and warranties are arranged solely between the buyer and the yard.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Listings and yard responsibilities

  • Yards are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including part condition, fitment, pricing, and photos.
  • Yards must honor any warranty terms stated on their listings.
  • Yards must comply with all applicable laws, including those governing salvage, emissions components (e.g. catalytic converters), airbags, and titling.
  • Listings may not include parts that are stolen, counterfeit, or illegal to sell in the buyer's or seller's jurisdiction.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or infringing content;
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing;
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download listings or contact information;
  • Interfere with the Service's operation or attempt to bypass security or rate limits;
  • Impersonate another person or business.

6. Buyer responsibilities

Buyers should confirm part fitment, condition, warranty, and total cost directly with the yard before purchasing. Used parts are sold in used condition; inspect parts on pickup or delivery where possible.

7. Content

You retain ownership of content you post (listings, photos, descriptions) and grant WebJunkyard a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

8. Fees

Core features are currently free. We may introduce paid plans in the future; pricing changes will be communicated in advance and will not apply retroactively.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF LISTINGS OR THE CONDUCT OF ANY BUYER OR YARD.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WEBJUNKYARD WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN BUYERS AND YARDS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WebJunkyard harmless from claims arising out of your listings, your transactions, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WebJunkyard is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state.
